The Group and Area AGMs are our members’ opportunity to find out what the committees have been doing over the past year and to provide a platform for members to have their say.
Area AGM
This year, the Berkshire Area AGM is to be held in Pangbourne Village Hall on Saturday 29th November 2025. It will be hosted by the Berkshire Walkers and Berkshire Weekend Walkers. Several current Area Committee officers will be retiring at the AGM. They are seeking candidates for:
- Chair
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Publicity Officer (currently vacant)
As a Group member the Area role is not always clear, but the Area Committee is the main route for members to influence Head Office and ensure our views are represented. Berkshire Area Committee has been successful in getting motions tabled at the Board level; and in achieving changes to some previous, contentious issues. Please give serious consideration to volunteering for one of these roles.
West Berkshire Ramblers Group AGM
This year’s West Berkshire Group AGM will be held at 7.30 pm on Wednesday 12th November 2025. The venue will be the President’s room at the Falkland Cricket Club, Enborne Street, Newbury, RG14 6TW.
