West Berkshire Ramblers are delighted to offer four coach trips during the course of 2026, which will enable members to venture further afield. These will take place on a Sunday, with the coach departing promptly at 8.30 am from Trinity School car park, off Love Lane, Newbury, RG14 2DU, and returning by 6.00 pm. The school allows us to park our cars there all day free of charge, for which we are very grateful.

This year’s scheduled destinations are listed below, and on each day there will be a choice of two walks – a longer one of 7-9 miles and a shorter one of 4-6 miles. Those who would rather not walk but instead spend the whole day at the destination are also welcome. The cost of each trip will be £20 per person; this is £2 more than the 2025 charge, but in view of the overall rise in the cost of living over the last 12 months, this still represents excellent value for money. Payment is by bank transfer, and the relevant details will be made available when you book.

Please remember to bring appropriate walking kit, including sturdy footwear and waterproofs, as well as sufficient food and drink for the day, although there is usually time for refreshments at the final destination before we return home. Please also bring alternative footwear to change into at the end of the walk to avoid muddy boots being brought onto the coach.
