Path Maintenance
This group turns out on alternate Friday mornings, normally meeting up at a pub near where they will be working and returning there for a snack afterwards. They inspect all the paths in West Berkshire (the local authority area) on a parish-by-parish basis and do minor mantenance such as trimming vegetation and replacing waymarks. The inspections make use of the fault database held by West Berkshire Council and problems which cannot be resolved are reported back to the Council.
The map below shows the team's progress as at November 2020 - those parishes in yellow indicate where the team is currently working, those in green are parishes visited three times and in orange four times; the parishes shown in white are covered by their own local groups or individuals.
